A set of two bird earrings, flying with a twig in their beaks. The iconic sign of peace. Or could be just a pair building a nest somewhere… Who knows?

This bird earrings has been made to be as beautiful and clean as possible. Made out of only metal, this design was chosen. Since there are no other materials used, we focused on the details on each of this earpiece. The lines on the wings have been made to be symmetrical and do not overlap, it provides a clean design for each earpiece. The branch in their beaks that are the unique part of the set. This part has taken a very long time and care to make thanks to the fact that it is very fragile during the creation phase. However, that weakness has been alleviated when this was finished and cooled off.

Did You Know?

Small bird species in more than 20 passerine families, and a few non-passerines—including most hummingbirds, kinglets and crests in the genus Regulus, some tyrant flycatchers and several New World warblers—use considerable amounts of spider silk in the construction of their nests. The lightweight material is strong and extremely flexible, allowing the nest to mold to the adult during incubation (reducing heat loss), then to stretch to accommodate the growing nestlings; as it is sticky, it also helps to bind the nest to the branch or leaf to which it is attached.
